Our Prime London Broil Roast (Flank Steak) is a lean, flat cut that’s fairly tender and extremely flavorful. This cut of beef has become very popular due to its frequent use in making fajitas. Roasts are individually packaged & flash frozen to lock in freshness and flavor.
Our Prime London Broail Roast (as known as a Flank Steak) comes from the rectus abdominus in the lower belly. Because this is an often used muscle, this steak is known for its robust beefy flavor. Flank steak is considered an economical cut and is used to make a London Broil Roast. It’s best to slice this on a diagonal cut, across the grain.
Oven
- Pre-heat oven to 350 F. Oven rack should be in middle of oven.
- Add salt and pepper to roast.
- Pre-heat skillet on stove with medium-high heat.
- Add butter or oil to coat surface of skillet.
- Add roast to skillet and sear on both sides for 2-3 minutes.
- Remove skillet from stove and place in oven.
- Cook approximately 10-15 minutes in oven.
- Use instant-read thermometer to ensure internal temperature has reached 145 F.
- Remove from oven, cover with foil, and let rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Grill
- Pre-heat grill to medium-high heat.
- Marinate or season roast with salt and pepper.
- Lightly oil grate.
- Grill for approximately 4-6 minutes on each side.
- Use instant-read thermometer to ensure internal temperature has reached 145 F.
- Remove from grill, cover with foil, and let rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
