Our London Broil also known as a Flank Steak is a lean, flat cut that’s fairly tender and extremely flavorful. This cut of beef has become very popular due to its frequent use in making fajitas. Individually packaged & flash frozen to lock in freshness and flavor.
Our Choice London Broil Roast (aka Flank Steak) comes from the rectus abdominus in the lower belly. Because this muscle is used often, this steak is known for its robust beefy flavor. Flank steaks are considered an economical cut.and are used to make a London Broil Roast. It’s best to slice this on a diagonal cut, across the grain for a more tender bite.
Oven
- Pre-heat oven to 350 F. Oven rack should be in middle of oven.
- Add salt and pepper to roast.
- Pre-heat skillet on stove with medium-high heat.
- Add butter or oil to coat surface of skillet.
- Add roast to skillet and sear on both sides for 2-3 minutes.
- Remove skillet from stove and place in oven.
- Cook approximately 10-15 minutes in oven.
- Use instant-read thermometer to ensure internal temperature has reached 145 F.
- Remove from oven, cover with foil, and let rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Grill
- Pre-heat grill to medium-high heat.
- Marinate or season roast with salt and pepper.
- Lightly oil grate.
- Grill for approximately 4-6 minutes on each side.
- Use instant-read thermometer to ensure internal temperature has reached 145 F.
- Remove from grill, cover with foil, and let rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
