Our Choice Chuck Roast comes from the shoulder and neck of the beef, and it yields some of the most flavorful and economical cuts of meat. Slow cooking allows for decadent tenderness along with effortless preparation. Conveniently packaged in a 2 lb. portion & flash frozen to lock in freshness and flavor.

While making meals for your family, your choice of meat is important. For many families, Chuck Roasts are a favorite. It has exceptional marbling throughout and when slowly cooked, chuck roasts end up being melt in your mouth delicious. Our 2 lb. portions make it easy for you to prepare and cook. Roasts are individually packaged.

Oven

    1. Pre-heat roasting pan on stovetop over medium-high heat.
    2. Coat chuck roast with salt and pepper.
    3. Add oil to roasting pan, coat surface of pan.
    4. Add chuck roast to hot roasting pan.
    5. Sear roast on both sides until a brown crust forms, approximately 1-2 minutes per side.
    6. Remove chuck roast and set on plate.
    7. Pre-heat oven to 225 F.
    8. Add vegetables to roasting pan cook for a few minutes.
    9. Place chuck roast back into roasting pan. Add other preferred ingredients.
    10. Pour wine over roast. Alternate options for wine include: stock, broth, juice, vinegar or a combination of juices.
    11. Cover roasting pan with lid or foil.
    12. Cook roast for 3 to 4 hours or until meat is fork tender.
    13. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure internal temperature has reached 145 F.
    14. Remove roast, cover, and let rest for 30 minutes before serving.

Slow Cooker

    1. Place chuck roast into slow cooker.
    2. Add other ingredients. (Potatoes, vegetables, onions, celery, carrots, herbs, etc.)
    3. Pour in wine and top with water. You'll need enough liquid to cover roast and vegetables.
    4. Cover slow cooker, and cook on low for about 8 hours.
    5. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure internal temperature has reached 145 F.
